
Joseph Capobianco

Joe is a commercial litigator and business lawyer with more than 35 years of experience. He was a partner at Reisman Peirez Reisman & Capobianco LLP, a well-established Garden City firm, for 32 years until the firm closed in 2023.
Joe has successfully represented varied litigants in state, federal and surrogate courts and concluded many transactions. He has written “Procedures During Litigation” in the NYS Bar Association Publication entitled Collection and the Enforcement of Money Judgments; “Electronic Age Changes in Legal Practice” in the New York State Bar Association Journal (March/April 2012); and “The Highter Burden of Proof for Mortgage Foreclosure Actions” in Nassau Lawyer (April 2012).
He previously served on the Glen Cove City Council for six years and as a Director of the Nassau Health Care Corporation, the operator of the Nassau County Medical Center. He is on the Board of Managers for the Glen Cove YMCA. Joe has lectured before the New York State Association and various professional associations and community organizations.
Joe currently serves as a Glen Cove City Court Judge, where he hears criminal and civil cases.
